(More customer reviews)I purchased this beautiful toaster/convection oven to use as a second oven for entertaining/holidays and for everyday use to cook for just the two of us.
First of all, it's darned beautiful to look at. It matches my stainless appliances and looks fabulous on my counter. The controls are very easy to use. It comes with 2 racks (although you're only supposed to use one at a time) and a baking pan/broiler tray. But the best thing is that it comes with a baking stone which sits in one of the racks and the oven itself is lined with baking stone material on either side. The back of the oven has the convection fan. All non-stone surfaces are of nonstick material, which makes it a cinch to clean.
In the month I've had it, I've used this amazing appliance to bake cakes and casseroles, broil shrimp, make pizza, roast tomatoes and chickens and even toast an english muffin! It passed every test with flying colors. The oven is large enough to fit a whole chicken for roasting - and did a great job.
I'd say the weak points are that you have to turn the oven around to get the crumb tray out (a minor inconvenience) and both the crumb tray and the baking pan tend to warp when the oven is hot.
To use the baking stone, you must preheat the oven for at least 30 minutes. Not a problem for me, as I preheated while waiting for my pizza dough to rise. Worked out great.
I'm delighted to give this my highest recommendation.

I have the regular cuisinart multiclad set, which is awesome, but I no longer use those skillets since purchasing this one. No more Barkeepers Friend and scouring required. It is off the stove, cool down and wash with dish soap and warm water. I have had no problem with bits of teflon flaking off.
I would highly recommend this skillet to anyone looking.

(More customer reviews)I got this set for what I consider a steal. The price has been fluctuating a bit, and if you hit it at the right time you can get them for an outstanding price. Just like all the other hard annodized cookware I have bought from amazon, I LOVE these pans! I have now converted nearly all of my cookware to this line, and highly reccommend it to anyone who wants to become a better cook. If you read other reviews, people complain about sticking. YES, food does adhere to the pans while cooking, but when it is done, the food releases from the surface. If you burn the food, do like Emeril says, and use the knobs on your stove. It does take some time and patience to rid yourself of the habits of teflon pans, but the food is so much tastier - I have never made better gravy in my life than since I switched cookware. This is a great starter set, and has most of the pans that you'll need. I would say that the average cook could get around 75% of their cooking done with this set. Have some patience, and I am sure you'll be pleased with the results.

Anolon Advanced 12-Inch Shallow Round Grill Pan Review

(More customer reviews)Anolon 'Advanced' is the much higher quality, and, for some quirky reason, is priced $15 less than the Calphalon! I pan-grilled some filet mignon steaks (am savoring them now) and was impressed at the signature 'sear marks'. Cleanup is a breeze and reviewers should note that the Anolon 'Advanced' line has not been plagued with the shedding of the non-stick coating (as both the 'Commercial' and 'Simply Calphalon' lines have been).
This will not take the place of an outdoor grill, but it does bring a taste of summer into the cold winter months. 'Cook's Illustrated' also gave the Anolon 'Advanced' 12" Deep Covered Grill Pan high marks, but this shallower, non-covered grill pan is $25 less and besides, who covers a grill pan when it is grilling anyway?
PS: I'm glad I 'recycled' my 10+ pound Lodge, cast-iron grill to my weight-lifting son for Christmas! :o)

(More customer reviews)I bought this originally as a replacement for a toaster, but find myself baking a lot more now that I have it. What separates this model from the others is it is roomy enough to bake a small pizza or a large steak inside. This really comes in handy if you hate heating up a large oven (and the whole house) just to bake a small item.
The oven comes with a broiling pan in addition to a grill rack and it heats up very quickly thanks to four separate heating elements; two above and two below. A blue indicator on the front of the oven lights up when it's turned on and a safety feature turns off the heating elements automatically when the oven door is opened. Three separate knobs control how you want to use it. One selects the temperature you wish (up to 450 degrees), another timer selects how long you wish to bake (up to 30 minutes), and a third and less-useful timer is designed strictly for toasting. Allegedly you can set it to light, medium, and dark for perfect toasting but the oven's definition of light, medium, and dark may vary from yours depending on whether you're toasting a thin, light item like white bread or a thicker item such as an english muffin or bagel. One minor annoyance is you have to remember to make sure the temperature gauge is flipped over to the "toast" setting when using this third knob or the oven won't come on at all.
A nice feature is a slide-out tray that can catch crumbs and drippings so the underside of the oven isn't dirtied. Black and Decker recommends you do not use it when toasting items, but I haven't had any problems as long as I keep it clean. They claim the tray and the rest of the interior are non-stick but don't believe it. Once you start grilling, you'll be scrubbing away just as much as a regular oven. Perhaps I'm a clean-freak, but in spite of the slide-out tray I usually place a broiler pan underneath the rack for grill items just so I won't have to scrub the heating elements. It catches all the juices so the oven stays clean but when cooking this way you'll have to flip your chicken or steaks as it won't grill both sides evenly.
Like regular baking items, plan on scrubbing the grill and pans after you're done. Just sticking them in a dishwasher won't get them clean enough. The oven has a rounded glass window that cleans easily enough without removal. This thing can get pretty hot when it's going so you'll need to give it space on each side for it to ventilate properly. It comes with a thick, industrial-grade power cord, but even then I worry the oven can get hot enough to melt through it (no problems so far.) The unit comes with a one-year warranty, but the warranty registration asks enough suspicious questions (e.g. what interests do you like, how much do you make) that your information is likely being sold to mailing lists, telemarketers, and other scum. I'll pass.
Finally, my only major gripe is in regards to the reason I bought the thing in the first place. It's just not a very good replacement for a regular toaster. Even though it heats up quickly, the fact that the interior is so big and roomy means it will take twice as long to toast a piece of bread. It also tends to toast items rather unevenly for some reason. If you're buying it as a supplement to your regular oven, then I say get it. If you're simply looking for something to toast bread, bagels, or muffins, you'll probably be better off with a standard toaster.

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of research on toaster ovens before buying. I wanted a toaster and my wife wanted something that could toast sandwiches as well. Well this does both and so much more. I never wrote a review before but I thought I would write one now just to help people out that are looking and very picky like I am.
This toaster oven is spacious if you're looking for a pan to use inside this I found a 12x12x3 cake pan fits perfectly.
I originally bought it at Walmart for $29.94 + tax + shipping = $44 but they ended up never shipping the product after a week so I canceled and found Amazon had it that day for $29.99 + free shipping (my luck day). I would have happily paid $45 for this either way.
After reading the 80 or so reviews at Walmart, the reviews on Amazon, and various other websites I concluded the following: All toaster ovens are made in China, meaning they will break sooner or later even if the $249 at Macy's. If your lucky it will be later. After looking for a long time and various brands I could not find one toaster oven that was not made in China so I ruled that out of my decision making. I want it to last so I ruled out anything that had electronic controls since they are more likely to break, keep it simple purely mechanical. That left my choices pretty slim. All the other toasters (Black and Decker, Delonghi, Oster, etc..) had quite a few reviews about uneven toasting. Which is important to me since I was originally buying this mostly to toast.
I really couldn't find too many people saying anything bad about this toaster either besides the "Toast" setting is hard to see. I didn't think it's too difficult to see its in Red maybe because it blends in with the black and doesn't stick out as much as the white text does. If you read the instructions it even tells you where to find the toast setting and how to use it. Turn timer past 10min mark and then back to the light toast or dark toast setting and put the oven temperature to Toast (turns on both top and bottom burners at high heat).
Also, all toaster ovens will make a smell when first turning ON. It even explains that in the manual. Turn heat setting to Toast and put timer on Always On with all the trays inside for 15 minutes and then turn OFF. It will smell bad so be prepared this is normal. I would have done this outside or in my garage if I knew it was going to make such a bad smell (like burning tires).
After that I was ready to put this bad boy to use. I made some toast at the light toast setting following directions and it came out perfectly. The next day we broiled some fish in the oven using a small cake pan covered in foil and then near the end took the foil off and put on Toast setting to get the top of the fish a little crispy.
This oven does goto 450 degrees so be careful. The oven sides, top, and back will get HOT. This is common with all toaster ovens. I read some complaints about the rack not sliding out when you open the door, but a pair of tongs or oven mitt solves that problem.
We won't be using our big electric oven any more. We are just 2 people and there is plenty of room in this toaster oven to make enough food for the two of us.
Last, all my kitchen appliances and counter tops are black and this blends in nicely. It looks stylish to me and I don't mind leaving it out all the time.
Amazon shipped this product the next day and I ended up getting it 3 days earlier than expected delivery date. Don't waste your time with Walmart they are just expensive after taxes and shipping and you will be lucky to even get it. Just pay the extra dollar and get it from Amazon.

They hold heat like you wouldn't believe, they actually cook everything evenly, and they are great to put under the broiler to get nice crisp crusts on casseroles.
The small size is absolutely perfect for a household of two people. It has allowed me to scale down my recipes to work for just two people, and still get the same quality that I would in the full scale version. The rounded sides are great and make it easy to scoop things out. They don't look very deep, but they can hold A LOT.
And, as cliche as it might be, they ARE great from going from the oven to table, and people really are impressed (plus, that makes less dishes to clean up, BONUS!!). Buy these, you will not be disappointed.

They were text-book picture perfect with an external sear with blood red rare interiors. Incredible for seared steaks or burgers. Preheat on high heat for at least five minutes before cooking. Get it smoking hot before you put the meat on the grill. Juices from deglazing or rendered fat can easily be poured off with the two pour spouts to make sauces or reductions. Cuisinart Classic 2-Slice Toaster Review

(More customer reviews)I was reluctant to spend this much for a toaster, but after trying a less expensive one (a Krups, no less) and finding that it made extremely uneven toast, I decided to spend a little more. I exchanged it for this one, and so far, this one makes perfect toast; in fact, I've never seen toast so evenly browned. The defrost works great, too -- I tried it on frozen bread, without changing the 'brown' setting, and it came out looking just like the toast from regular/thawed bread. (Sorry, I don't toast my bagels, so I can't comment on that feature.) In short, this is the best toaster I've ever used, and well worth the money.

(More customer reviews)If you want a real counter top oven do not waste your money on a microwave, for healthy cooking, baking and eating a convection is the best.
This oven is everything I have been looking for; great capacity, convection, stainless steel interior, excellent price and good looks. It bakes, and browns and roasts, and broils. It is easy to use.
I just cannot get a properly made one, the oven seal fell off the first one and one of the racks was broken. So i sent it back for a replacement. Got the replacement and the convection fan is much loader than the first, sounds ready to break, the oven seal falls off again and the door is not flush, you can see the hot air leaks.
Back she goes, again.
....also Amazon informs me that they have heard of problems with this model and will not be replacing it a third time. So there you have it.
If you can get a good one (I still cannot vouch for its longevity); you may luck up.

(More customer reviews)I love mine. It's big, so be aware if you have little counter space. I've got five in my family, and this grill is big enough for bacon on one side, pancakes on the other. It's easy to clean. I've had mine over a year, and have had no problems with the finish. Yes, it does have a hot spot on the left side, but I use it to my advantage. I've had some restaurant experience, and our flat tops were almost always at different temps. Something cooking too fast? Move it over! Put those sausages on the right, as it's a little cooler, and they take longer to cook.
I have had one problem: my probe thermostat went. I called the company, they took the date code off the unit (it was a gift from my Amazon wish list!), and sent a new probe out. The warranty was 30 months! Nice.
I say, if you're a heavy duty griddle user like I am, this is the TANK of the griddle world!
